There is no sound from the audio system when connected via eARC
If your TV and audio system are connected via eARC, sound may not be output when you watch a video that uses audio codecs such as DTS-HD Master Audio or Dolby TrueHD. Check the following to resolve the issue:
- Make sure to connect the TV and audio system using an HDMI cable with Ethernet.
- Check if your audio system supports eARC and that the setting is enabled.
- Check your device manual for model-specific information. Manuals are posted on our support website.
- Make sure other external devices connected to the TV's HDMI ports support output from audio codecs, such as DTS-HD Master Audio or Dolby TrueHD.
- Check your manual or contact the manufacturer for more information.
- The TV doesn't support DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD from USB files, video streaming services and broadcasts.
- Set the eARC mode to Auto in your TV settings:
- On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
- Select
Settings.
- The next steps will depend on your TV menu:
- Select Display & Sound → Audio output → eARC mode → Auto.
- Select Sound → eARC mode → Auto.
- Set the TV speaker output to Audio System:
- On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
- Select
Settings.
- Follow the steps below according to your TV menu.
- Display & Sound → Audio output → Speakers → Audio system.
- Sound → Speakers → Audio system.
NOTE: Depending on the audio system specifications, some audio codecs may not be supported.
