1. How does this promotion work?

If you have pre ordered a Sony UBP-X800 Blu-ray player from an authorised Sony dealer located in the UK, Republic of Ireland and Isle of Man between 1st March 2017 and 31st March 2017 (inclusive) then you are entitled to participate in this promotion. To enter, just register online (customers in the UK / customers in the Republic of Ireland), and accept the promotion's terms and conditions. In order all the data you enter to be validated, you'll need to send us a proof of your pre order, a copy of your valid proof of purchase and a picture of your serial number to claim for the promotion, so please keep them somewhere safe.

NOTE: The promotion is only available for the selected product.  


2. How long does the promotion last?

You can enter our website until the May 21st, 2017 for products pre ordered between 1st March 2017 and 31st March 2017 (inclusive). Claims made after this date will not be accepted.

4. Which models are included?

The promotion is only available for the Sony UBP-X800 Blu-ray player.
NOTE: Only 1 claim on Blu-ray discs can be made by one consumer.


5. How can I enter the promotion?

•     Pre order a UBP-X800 from an authorised Sony dealer located in the UK, Republic of Ireland and Isle of Man between 1st March 2017 and 31st March 2017 (inclusive)
•     Complete the claim form on the website www.sony.co.uk/4kbluray (for UK customers) or on www.sony.ie/4kbluray (for customers in the Republic of Ireland) by midnight on May 21st, 2017.

To do so:
•Make sure you enter all the required product and personal details
•Upload a proof of pre order or interest to order dated between 1st March and 31st March, a copy of your original printed proof of purchase showing the retailer, the product name and date of purchase, as well as a picture of the serial number listed on the product
•Accept the terms and conditions


6. What happens once I get a registration confirmation email?

We check and confirm your documentation, then prepare a shipment of your product to the postal address you have provided on the claim form. Your discs will be shipped within 21 days once all criteria has been fulfilled; where we are unable to meet this deadline then we will do so as quickly as possible thereafter.


7. Why do I need to submit my proof of purchase?

We need a proof of purchase to check that your entry meets the terms and conditions of the promotion.


8. Why do I need to submit my model name and serial number?

This cuts down the paperwork for you, as we can look up the serial number to check your eligibility for the promotion.


9. I've filled in the date from my proof of purchase but the website says I am not eligible to participate .

This promotion only includes a selected model pre ordered between 1st March 2017 and 31st March 2017 (inclusive). Please check that the date of your pre order and your model both meet the terms and conditions of the promotion.


10. The website says that my serial number is not recognised.

Check that you entered the serial number correctly. If you're certain that you typed it correctly, your model may not be included in this promotion.
The promotion is only available on the Sony UBP-X800 Blu-ray player which has been supplied and distributed by Sony to its authorised dealers within the UK, Republic of Ireland and Isle of Man. We recommend that you check with your retailer before purchase to ensure that your purchase qualifies under these Terms and Conditions. You can also check on the Sony redemption platform for Sony authorised dealers. Sony is not responsible for a retailer’s misleading statements in this respect and the final decision as to whether a retailer is authorised rests with Sony. For the avoidance of doubt, Sony will not accept claims against products purchased from eBay (whether listed as new or used).


11. I got the message that my claim is incomplete. What should I do now?

Please send us the information requested in the message as soon as possible so we can confirm your participation in the promotion. If you don't reply within 10 days, we can't guarantee that you will receive your gift.


12. I bought my product in the UK or in Ireland but I live in a different country. Can I still participate in the promotion?

No. Only customers living in UK or Republic of Ireland are eligible to participate in this promotion.


13. I have sent my proof of purchase and other documents by post to the address that was written on a paper that my dealer gave me.  I have not heard anything about my participation yet in the meantime.

Unfortunately your claim will not be valid until you have first participated on the website where you can attach your documents or if you have sent your documents to us by replying to the confirmation e-mail you received with your participation code. Claims sent by post are not valid.


14. I received my gift but it is damaged or not working properly.

Any faults/damages related to the box or the product itself that could have occurred during the transit of your gift should be reported within 48 hours after the delivery by calling us on 0207 365 2810 (for UK customers) or on 01 407 3341 (for customer in the Republic of Ireland).
Your Case ID can be found in the subject line of your registration confirmation e-mail and consists of 8 digits.  You can use this case ID for communications with our support team in case you should have questions.


15. I claimed for 2 products, but only got my gift for one product. What happened?

Only 1 claim on Blu-ray discs can be made by one consumer.
