How to solve: BBC iPlayer picture is cropped and the full image isn't being displayed

If you notice that the image displayed on the BBC iPlayer seems:

• a bit zoomed in
• not to fit the entire screen
• cropped, or the aspect ratio is wrong

then please change the display area settings of your television. 

How to adjust TV display area settings

1. Launch your TV app to watch broadcasted content. (If you don't, the display area setting will not be available)
2. Go to your TV settings.
3. Select Display & Sound.
4. Open the Screen setting.
5. Choose Display Area and select +1 (The default value is "normal").
