The voice-enabled Amazon Alexa device no longer controls my TV

If the voice commands from your voice-enabled Amazon Alexa device no longer controls your TV, it could be due to a Privacy Policy update. Please make sure to agree to the Privacy Policy for the TV Control Setup with Amazon Alexa app on your TV.

The following message will be displayed after the Privacy Policy update: 
"The Privacy Policy has changed. Please run TV Control Setup with Amazon Alexa to accept the changes." 

Please agree to the new Privacy Policy by following the steps below:

  1. Select the TV Control Setup with Amazon Alexa app.
    For Android OS 8.0
    1. Press the Home button on the remote control.
    2. Select Apps.
    3. Select TV Control Setup with Amazon Alexa.

    For Android OS 7.0
    1. Press the Home button on the remote control.
    2. Select TV Control Setup with Amazon Alexa in the Apps category.
       
  2. When the Privacy Policy screen is displayed, select Agree or Proceed.
    NOTE: Scroll down and display the full text of the Privacy Policy to select Agree or Proceed.
     
  3. Confirm that you can control your TV using your Alexa-enabled device.
