The sound normally comes from the TV speakers and the soundbar if they are connected with an HDMI cable. Follow the steps below to output sound from the Soundbar only. Make sure to check the sound after every step. If you need model-specific information, check the supplied manual.

On your Soundbar, make sure the Control for HDMI function is on.

HT-S100F/S200F/SF150/SF200/SF201 Models
On the Sound bar remote control, press and hold the VOICE button for five seconds.
- The USB indicator flashes twice indicating the Control for HDMI function is on.

HT-X9000F/XF9000/Z9F/ZF9 Models
- Using the Sound bar remote control, press the HOME button.
- Select Setup.
- Select Advanced Settings.
- Select HDMI Settings.
- Select Control for HDMI and then set to On.

Turn the TV and Sound bar on and off.
- On the TV remote control, press the POWER button to turn the TV off.
- Check if the Sound bar turns off at the same time.
- If the Sound bar doesn't turn off, use the Sound bar remote to turn it off.
- On the TV remote control, press the POWER button to turn the TV on.
- Check if the Sound bar turns on at the same time.
- If the Sound bar doesn't turn on, use the Sound bar remote to turn it on.

Reset the Sound bar to the default settings.
- Press and hold the power and volume buttons for more than five seconds,
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Plug the power cord back in.
- If you reset your Sound bar, wireless surround speakers, and subwoofers will disconnect.
