A white screen sometimes displays when the TV enters Daydream

    If the time on your Sony's Android TV does not match the time of your Internet server, the TV will not be able obtain pictures from the server and a white screen is displayed instead. To correct this, you can either change the time settings or turn off the Daydream mode by following the steps below.

    To change the time settings

    1. How to set a method for acquiring the time.
      When connected to the Internet:
      1. Using the supplied remote, press the HOME button.
      2. Select Settings.
      3. Select Date & time in the SYSTEM PREFERENCES category.
      4. Set Automatic date & time to On, and set Time synchronization to Use network-provided time.
        NOTE: Select Automatic date & time, and if Use network time is displayed, select that option.

      When not connected to the Internet:
      1. Using the supplied remote, press the HOME button.
      2. Select Settings.
      3. Select Date & time in the SYSTEM PREFERENCES category.
      4. Set Automatic date & time to OFF, and set the date and time manually.

        NOTE: Select Automatic date & time, and if Use broadcast time is displayed, the date and time can be adjusted using that setting.
    2. How to turn off Daydream.
      1. Using the supplied remote, press the HOME button.
      2. Select Settings.
      3. Select Daydream in the TV category.
      4. Select Daydream.
      5. Set to None or Sleep.
