My OLED TV switches to screen saver mode

Ambient mode activates automatically after a certain period of time without any operation. The startup time cannot be changed.

You can, however, set the type of images you want displayed as the screen saver:

1. On your remote control, press the Quick settings ( or ) button.
2. Select Settings → System → Ambient mode.
3. Choose your preferred images (e.g. Google Photos, Art gallery).

The steps to change the activation time will depend on your TV Android version.

For Android TV (Android™ 7.0 or later)

1. On your remote control, press the HOME or  Quick Settings button.
2. Select  Settings.
3. The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
   • Select Device Preferences → Screen saver → When to start.
   • Select System → Screen saver → Screen saver → When to start.
   • Select Screen saver → When to start.
4. Select from the following startup times: 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, or 2 hours.

For Android TV (Android 6.0)

1. On your remote control, press the HOME button.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Daydream in the TV category.
4. Select When to daydream.
5. Select from the following startup times: 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 1 hour.

Note: We recommend you set the Screen saver or When to daydream setting to the minimum (5 minutes) to avoid image retention and help extend your TV panel's life.
