Can Internet content be recorded on a USB device that is inserted in the Blu-ray Disc player?

IMPORTANT: Not all Blu-ray Disc players, Blu-ray Disc home theater systems and Network Media Players have Internet and USB capabilities. To see if your Sony product has the functions described in this solution, check the supplied manual.

The hard drive and USB memory device are designed for use with the BD-Live feature found on certain Blu-ray Disc movie titles and cannot be used to record any other content. A recording device must be connected to the output of the Blu-ray Disc player in order to record the Internet video content.

NOTE: A copyright-protection error may occur when attempting to record programs that are copyright-protected. This copyright protection cannot be overridden and is normal operation.
