How do I find and edit my personal contact information in the Contacts application? (Android 8.0, 8.1, 9 and 10)

Solution

Your personal contact information is stored under My Info in the Contacts application. You can also share your contact details from here with another person, e.g. via SMS, email or Bluetooth®.

From Android 8 and onwards, your personal contact information is no longer stored by default in the contact list. 

To edit My info

Android 10

1. Find and tap Contacts.
2. Tap  (menu icon) → Settings → My info.
3. Tap the edit icon (pencil) in the upper right corner. 
4. Edit the desired information.
5. When done, tap SAVE.

Android 9 or lower

1. Find and tap Contacts.
2. Tap  (menu icon) → My info.
3. Tap the edit icon (pencil) in the upper right corner.
4. Edit the desired information.
5. When done, tap SAVE.
