The earbuds do not charge (WF-C510)

    Hint: Before proceeding with the steps below, update the earbuds' software to the latest version.

    1. Reset the earbuds.

      Refer to the How to reset or initialise the WF-C510 article or view the How to reset video below:

      The issue is resolved
      The issue may have been caused by a temporary malfunction of the earbuds.
      The issue is not resolved
      Go to the next troubleshooting step.
    2. Clean the earbuds, the interior of the charging case, and the charging port of the earbuds, and check the indicator of the charging case.

      Make sure the earbuds are properly inserted into the charging case.

      The charging may fail if the earbuds are not touching the charging leads in the charging case or if the port is dirty.

      After cleaning the earbuds, the inside of the charging case, and the charging port, set the earbuds into the charging case, and without connecting the charging cable, check the charging case indicator. For details on how to clean the earbuds, refer to the How to Care for the Headphones article.
      Note: When cleaning, do not use compressed air to remove dust, as this can cause dust to get into the microphone or sound outlet holes, leading to malfunction.

      The indicator lights green for about 3 seconds when one of the earbuds is stored in the charging case, and lights green again when both earbuds are stored

      The earbuds' remaining battery is 71% or more. Wear the earbuds, connect them to a device via Bluetooth, and check if you can hear the sound from the connected device.
      If the sound cannot be heard, refer to the There is no sound, low sound, or sound is only heard from one side of the headphones article. 
      The indicator lights orange for about 3 seconds when one of the earbuds is stored in the charging case, and lights orange again when both earbuds are stored

      The remaining battery of the earbuds is between 70% and 1%. Charge the earbuds and go to step 5.
      The indicator does not light up when the earbuds are stored in the charging case

      Remove the earbuds from the charging case and store them again. If the indicator is not still lit, the remaining battery is 1 % or lower. Charge the earbuds and go to step 5.
      The indicator repeatedly flashes twice in orange

      The indicator shows an abnormal charging temperature. Go to step 6.
      The indicator repeatedly flashes slowly in orange

      An error occurs while charging. Go to step 6.
    3. Leave the charging case in a place with an ambient temperature between 15 °C and 35 °C (59 °F - 95 °F), and try charging again.

      The issue is resolved
      The issue may have been caused by the ambient temperature being too high or too low.
      The issue is not resolved
      Go to the next troubleshooting step.
    4. Use another USB Type-C® cable, connect the charging case to a USB AC adaptor or computer, and check if the charging can be completed.

      The charging can be completed
      The USB cable may not be working.
      The charging cannot be completed
      Go to the next troubleshooting step.
    5. Set the earbuds into the charging case, connect the charging case using the supplied USB Type-C cable, and check if the charging can be completed.
      Note: Clean the charging port before charging.

      The charging can be completed
      The charging port of the charging case may have been dirty.
      Note: Regular cleaning is recommended to prevent issues with charging.
      The charging cannot be completed
      Go to step 9.
    6. Set the earbuds into the charging case, connect the charging case using the supplied USB Type-C cable, and check the indicator of the charging case again.
      The indicator lights orange when charging starts

      The earbuds are in the process of charging. Wait until the earbuds are fully charged.
      The indicator repeatedly flashes twice in orange

      Go to step 9.
      The indicator repeatedly flashes slowly in orange

      Go to step 9.
      The indicator does not light up

      Go to step 7.
    7. Check if you can charge a different device with the same AC adapter or USB port.
      Use the same AC adapter or USB port on the computer to charge a different mobile device or product.
      The mobile device or product can be charged
      Go to the next troubleshooting step.
      The mobile device or product cannot be charged
      The AC adapter or USB port may not be working. Contact the manufacturer.
    8. Clean the charging port of the charging case, and check if the charging can be completed.

      If dust or dirt is in or around the charging port, charging may not be completed properly. Remove the dust or dirt with a soft, dry cloth before charging.

      The charging can be completed
      The charging port of the charging case may have been dirty.
      Note: Regular cleaning is recommended to prevent issues with charging.
      The charging cannot be completed
      The earbuds may be malfunctioning and service may be required.
    9. Initialise the earbuds.

      The issue may have been caused by a temporary malfunction of the earbuds.
      The issue is not resolved
      Go to the next troubleshooting step.
