A Voice Guide says “Google Assistant is not connected,” and I cannot turn on the Noise Canceling function or Ambient Sound Control function

IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Check Applicable Products and Categories for details.

    Try the following:

    • A Google Assistant notification may pop up when the headphones and smartphone are connected. If you tap the notification, the assignment of the touch sensor function will be switched to Google Assistant. If this happens, change the assignment back to Ambient Sound Control using the Sony | Headphones Connect app.

Hint: If the same notification appears again the next time you connect, do not tap the notification. Instead, swipe the notification to turn it off.

    Notes:

    • If a function other than Ambient Sound Control, such as Google Assistant, is assigned to the touch sensor, you cannot switch the Noise Canceling function or Ambient Sound Control function by using the headphone’s touch sensor.
    • Due to the changes Google is making to the Google Assistant feature, linking headphones to the Google Assistant app for iOS will be discontinued.
