Apple AirPlay: Displaying content from Apple devices on Android TV™

Use AirPlay to mirror the display or stream content from your Apple devices to your Android TV.
NOTES:
- A Software Update for the TV may be required to use AirPlay.
- You must connect the TV to the Internet to use AirPlay.
- Apple device operation varies depending on the OS version.

What apps and services can be used with AirPlay?

Mirror the entire display of your Apple device to the TV:
- If AirPlay has not been configured, press the
(Input select) button on the TV remote control and select
(AirPlay), then select AirPlay & HomeKit settings and turn on AirPlay.
- Make sure your Apple device is connected to the same network as the TV.
- If you use an iOS device such as iPhone or iPad: Open the Control Center and tap
(Screen Mirroring) on your iOS device.
If you use Mac: Click(AirPlay Video) in the menu bar.
- Select your TV. The display of your Apple device can be seen on your TV.
If an AirPlay passcode appears on your TV screen, enter the passcode on your Apple device.
To stop mirroring your Apple device:For iOS device: Open Control Center, tap Screen Mirroring, then tap Stop Mirroring.
For Mac: Click(AirPlay Video) in the menu bar, then select Turn AirPlay Off.
Stream content from your Apple device to the TV:
- If AirPlay has not been configured, press the
(Input select) button on the TV remote control and select
(AirPlay), then select AirPlay & HomeKit settings and turn on AirPlay.
- Make sure your Apple device is connected to the same network as the TV.
- Find the content that you want to stream on your Apple device.
- To stream the video content, tap or click
(AirPlay Video) on your Apple device. In some apps, you might need to tap a different icon first like
.
If you want to stream audio content, tap or click(AirPlay Audio).
- Select your TV. The content streams to your TV.
To stop video streaming:For iOS device: Tap
(AirPlay Video) in the app that you are streaming from, then tap your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from the list.
For Mac: Click(AirPlay Video) in the video playback controls, then choose Turn Off AirPlay.
What apps and services can be used with AirPlay?
If the (AirPlay Video) or
(AirPlay Audio) icon is displayed in an app or service, you can use AirPlay to stream content.
