IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Check Applicable Products and Categories for details.

There are two ways to check the remaining battery level of the charging case:

    1. Check the remaining charge on the Sony | Headphones Connect app
      • For WF-1000XM3:
Firmware version 2.0.2 or later is required.
    2. Check the remaining charge using the charging case indicator
      • For WF-1000XM5 WF-1000XM4 LinkBuds S (WF-LS900N) / LinkBuds (WF-L900) / LinkBuds UC (WF-L900UC) / WF-C700N:
Check the status of the indicator while the earbuds are NOT in the charging case.

Note: You cannot check the remaining charge of the case while it is recharging.

        • If the indicator on the charging case lights up in green (A):
          • The remaining battery charge is between 31% and 100%.
          • You can charge the earbuds normally using the charging case.
        • If the indicator lights up in orange (B):
          • The remaining battery charge is between 1% and 30%.
          • This means the remaining charge of the case is less than what you need to charge the earbuds fully.
          • We recommend charging the case.
        • If the indicator does not light up, or it turns off immediately:
          • The remaining charge of the charging case is less than 1%.
          • The case should be recharged.
      • For WF-1000XM3 WF-SP800N WF-XB700 WF-C500 WF-H800:
Check the status of the indicator while the earbuds are in the charging case.

Note: You cannot check the remaining charge of the case while it is recharging.

        • If the indicator on the charging case lights up in red:
          • The remaining battery charge is between 30% and 100%.
          • You can charge the earbuds normally using the charging case.
        • If the indicator lights up in red, but it flashes for about 15 seconds when closing the charging case:
          • The remaining battery charge is between 5% and 30%.
          • This means the remaining charge of the case is less than what you need to charge the earbuds fully.
          • We recommend charging the case.
        • If the indicator does not light up, or it turns off immediately:
          • The remaining charge of the case is less than 5%.
          • The case should be recharged.
