The storage capacity of my Android TV is less than what's listed in the specifications
IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Check Applicable Products and Categories for details.
Your TV's on-board storage consists of two parts: Internal storage and User-Accessible Storage.
- Internal storage
- Also known as system memory
- Stores the operating system and system files
- Not accessible to users
- User accessible storage
- Storage for apps and user data
When you check the available storage on your Android TV, it only shows the available User-Accessible Storage and not the total on-board storage. Therefore, the available storage value is different from the total on-board storage specified on the product page or in the specifications.
Note: If the storage capacity of your TV is insufficient, you can move downloaded apps to an optional USB storage device to free up space.
