How can I change the YouView parental controls on my Sony TV?

To change the parental controls:

1. Press the HOME button.
2. Select  Settings.*
3. In the Personal section select Parental Lock (Broadcast).

Here you will able to change your PIN, turn on/off protection and set your parental rating by age. If you have already setup your PIN you'll need to enter your PIN to change any of these settings.

I've forgotten my PIN. How do I reset the PIN on my Sony TV?

If you need to reset your Sony PIN, you will have to use a Master PIN to gain access to the Parental lock settings. To do this:

1. Press the HOME button.
2. Select  Settings.*
3. In the Personal section select Parental Lock (Broadcast).
4. Enter the Master PIN (9999).
5. Select Change PIN Code and change it to your desired PIN.

If you would like to read through YouView's Terms of Use, press the HOME button on your remote control and navigate to  [Settings]* > [Channel Setup] > [YouView Setup] > [YouView's Terms of Use].

How do I change my postcode for YouView on my Sony TV?

If you have moved home and would like to change the postcode you've entered into the YouView setup, press the HOME button on your remote control and navigate to  [Settings] > [Channel Setup] > [YouView Setup] > [postcode] and enter in the postcode you want.

If you would like to read through YouView's Terms of Use, press the HOME button on your remote control and navigate to  [Settings]* > [Channel Setup] > [YouView Setup] > [postcode] > [YouView's Data Promise].

How do I find out what Sony TV model I have?

If you would like to find out what your Sony TV model is, Press the HOME button on your remote control and navigate to  Settings* and in the TV section, select About. Here you can see the Device Name and Model.

Yes. For instructions on how to view the help guide on your Sony TV, choose your preferred remote:

Standard remote

1. Press the HELP button.
2. Select Help Guide.

Touchpad remote

1. Press the HOME button.
2. Navigate to the  Settings* section and choose Help.
3.  Select Help Guide.
