What is DLNA?
DLNA is an acronym that stands for Digital Living Network Alliance. The DLNA function ensures connection and content sharing among digital audio and video devices, as well as PCs, on a home network.

What is the Renderer function?
This function allows content to be streamed to the Blu-ray home theatre system from a server, like a PC, and controlled by using a mobile device (e.g. smartphone) as a remote control via the home network.

The unit does not connect to the Internet
1) Connect the Ethernet cable to the LAN connector.
2) Select Network Settings from the Setup Menu, and make the necessary adjustments in Internet Settings.
3) A router and broadband connection is required. If your Internet service provider provided you with a bridging type modem, connect the modem to the broadband router, and connect the router to this unit via the LAN ports using an Ethernet cable.
NOTE: If the modem is a router type, connect the modem to this unit via the LAN ports using an Ethernet cable (please refer to the router manual for further details).
4) Contact your Internet service provider to check if any network trouble is present. If the LAN port is already used for other Internet devices, use another LAN port on the broadband router or a switching hub, etc.

Is there any way to check the network connection?
During Internet streaming, you can check the network condition and the transmission speed by pressing DISPLAY on the remote controller, or executing a Network Connection Diagnostic by selecting Network Settings from the Setup menu.

How can I connect the device to a Wi-Fi wireless Internet network?
To set up a wireless Internet connection; go to Network Settings, then Internet Settings in the Setup menu, and select Wireless Setup (built-in). Proceed with entering the settings as required (if any).

When 2 or more WEP keys are set to the router, the BDV products only support the first WEP key.

Is IPv6 supported by the system?
Yes, this system supports IPv6.

What are IPv4 and IPv6?
IPv4 is the current version of the Internet Protocol, the identification system the Internet uses to send information between devices and route traffic across the Internet. IPv6 is the new version of the Internet Protocol; which is 4 times wider in bits in compared to the 32-bit address space of IPv4.

What is NFC?
NFC (Near Field Communication) is a technology enabling short-range wireless communication between various devices such as mobile phones.

How to use the NFC function?
Hold the NFC-compatible smartphone near the "N" logo on the unit until the smartphone vibrates. After it is recognized by the unit, follow the on-screen instructions displayed on the smartphone, and complete the procedure for Bluetooth connection.

Failed to connect via NFC
If the device pairing and Bluetooth connection fail, try the following:

  • Restart the "NFC Easy Connect" app and move the smartphone slowly over the "N" logo.
  • Remove the case from the smartphone if using a smartphone case.
  • Confirm the smartphone's NFC module location in its user manual.

There is no sound after connecting a device to the unit using Bluetooth
You can try the following:

  • Make sure the Bluetooth device isn't too far away from the main unit, and that the system is not receiving interference from a WiFi network, another 2.4 GHz wireless device, or a microwave oven
  • Check whether the Bluetooth connection is properly established between the system and the Bluetooth device
  • Pair the system and the Bluetooth device again
  • Avoid placing the main unit near metal objects or surfaces
  • Make sure Bluetooth is activated on the devices involved
  • Adjust the volume of the Bluetooth device; if the volume level is still too low, adjust the volume on the main unit

When a device is paired to the unit with Bluetooth, the sound skips or fluctuates, or the connection is lost
If you experience this type of issues, try the following:

  • Make sure the main unit and the Bluetooth device are not too far apart. Bluetooth devices should be used within an unobstructed distance of approximately 10 meters from one another
  • If there are obstacles between the main unit and your Bluetooth device, remove or avoid them
  • If there is equipment that generates electromagnetic interference nearby, such as a wireless router, other Bluetooth devices or a microwave oven, move them away

What is the procedure to listen to audio from a Bluetooth device on the BD Home Theatre System?
Please follow the below procedure in order to perform Bluetooth connection.

  • Select Input in the Home menu

Should I be concerned that there is no sound coming from the surround rear speakers when I connect a device over Bluetooth?

Unfortunately, HDMI pass-through is not available on this device.
