I'm hearing a constant background noise while listening on RF headphones. Can it be reduced?

IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Check Applicable Products and Categories for details.

These headphones use analogic wireless transmitting technology. This technology is more susceptible to background noise than digital wireless technology.

    Avoiding static hiss

The static is caused by a mismatch between the headphone's volume and the output volume of your TV (or music player). You want to regulate the volume as much as possible on the source device, not the headphones.

To reduce the background noise, try the following steps:

    1. Lower the volume on your headphones.
    2. Increase the volume on the device playing the content you are listening to (TV, music player, etc.) up to the level where the sound is not distorted.
    3. Then, you can adjust the volume on your headphones for comfortable listening.
