Error 1107 or 2123 or 3218 or 7003 appears during the network setup or when attempting to access Internet content

Applicable Products and Categories of This Article

The cause for errors 1107, 2123, 3218, 5010 or 7003

These error codes are displayed in the following cases.

  • The Internet connection is disconnected or unstable.
  • The network line speed has reduced (especially when connected to a wireless LAN)

Even in the cases other than the above, these error codes may be displayed due to temporary causes such as crossed lines, etc. The problem is sometimes resolved after a certain period of time without any operation. In this case, it is sometimes impossible to identify the cause.

  1. Check that the TV is connected to the Internet properly.

For Android TV models, follow the steps below:

    1. Press the HOME button.
    2. Select Help.
    3. Select Internet Connectivity Symptoms.

For Models manufactured before 2015, follow the steps below:

    1. Press the HOME button.
    2. Select Help.
    3. Select Customer Support.
    4. Select Internet Connectivity Symptoms.

If there is any Failed diagnosis results:
The TV is not connected to the Internet. Please check the network connection setting: Bravia TV cannot be connected to the Internet .

If all diagnosis results are OK:

If you are still getting an error message, a specific problem may have occurred.
If it is a known problem, it can be improved by software update. Perform a software update: How to perform a software update .

If it does not improve, please try the following:
  2. Turn off the TV power supply.
  3. Disconnect the plug of the TV.
  4. Disconnect plugs of the router and modem.
  5. Connect the plugs of the router and modem again after 2 minutes.
  6. Connect the plug of the TV again.
  7. Turn on the TV power supply.
  8. After 5 minutes, please try to Refresh Internet Content a few times.

NOTE: The Refresh Internet Content is available for TVs manufactured on or before 2014. It is not available on Android TVs.

    2. Check the following settings and usage environment.

NOTE: There is a case that the problem is not due to the TV, but due to the network environment. In this case, contact other companies if necessary.

  1. Reset the television to the original factory settings:

  2. Eliminate the duplicate routers
The router allocates an IP address to the device for connecting to the Internet. If two routers are installed, these error codes may be displayed because of the duplicate IP addresses. Contact the router manufacturer, suspend the routing function of one router or uninstall one router, and then check if the situation will be improves.
  3. Check the network line speed
There are various factors that slow down the network line speed. Try the following by referencing the possibilities that may become a factor.

    factors that influence line speed

    [1]: TV
    [2]: Another device
    [3]: Router
    [4]: Modem
    [5]: ISP (Internet Service Provider)
    [6]: Application provider

    1. Between the TV and the router 5 stars
Possibility that may become a factor
Even if the TV can connect to the Internet, when the communication speed is slow, an error code will be displayed. Especially when using a wireless LAN, the wireless LAN connection speed may be reduced significantly by the distance or radio wave interference between the router and TV. Temporarily perform the following in order to identify the cause.

      When using a wireless LAN:
      • Connect the TV and router by a wired LAN
      • Turn the power off of other wireless devices
      When using a wired LAN:
      • Use a cable which corresponds to the communication category 5 or more

If the problem is resolved by implementing above, the cause is the communication speed between the TV and router. Perform the following.

      When using a wireless LAN:
      • Connect the TV and router with a wired LAN (recommended)
      • Place the TV and router closer together, and then use a wireless LAN
      • Avoid concurrent use with other wireless devices or change the wireless channel
      When using a wired LAN:
      • Use a cable which corresponds to the communication category 5 or more

    2. Network traffic with other devices
Possibility that may become a factor 4 stars
The data amount which a router can deliver at once is limited. When using the Internet concurrently with other devices, the network line speed will be reduced significantly. In particular, video playback on the other device and software download will affect the traffic in order to download large amounts of data. Avoid concurrent use with other wireless devices, and then check if the situation will be improved.

    3. Network traffic on the ISP (Internet Service Provider)
Possibility that may become a factor 1 star
      • Trouble in the ISP
      • Communication traffic due to concurrent use between users with the same ISP
The network line speed may be reduced temporarily because of the above causes. It is difficult to confirm whether the cause of the error corresponds to the above. For example, use the TV during a time zone that is not crowded and check whether the error codes are displayed.

    4. Network traffic on the application provider
Possibility that may become a factor 2 stars
When access is concentrated to the service provider that delivers Internet content such as live video streaming applications, the error codes may be displayed because of the congestion. It is difficult to confirm whether the cause of the error corresponds to this. For example, use the TV in a time zone that is not crowded and check whether the error codes are displayed.

If you're still encountering the same issue, please download the software update and update your TV with a USB flash drive .
