Car stereo: How to turn off the "DEMO" mode

The steps for turning the DEMO mode off may vary depending on the model. If you are using a device that is not listed below, or you cannot turn off the DEMO mode following these instructions, refer to the product manual that came with your device. Manuals are posted on our support website.

Please use one of the methods applicable to your device listed below, to turn off the DEMO mode.

XAV Series

Method 1

1. Press the HOME button on the unit.
2. Touch Settings.
3. Touch General.
4. Touch Demo to set it to OFF.

Method 2

1. Press the HOME button on the unit.
2. Touch Settings.
3. Touch Screen Settings.
4. Touch Demo to set it to OFF.

MEX Series

Method 1

1. Press MENU, rotate the control dial to select DISPLAY.
2. Rotate the control dial to select GENERAL.
3. Rotate the control dial to select SET DEMO.
4. Rotate the control dial to select SET DEMO-OFF.
5. Press BACK to return to the previous display.

Method 2

1. Press MENU, rotate the control dial to select DISPLAY.
2. Rotate the control dial to select DEMO.
3. Rotate the control dial to select DEMO-OFF.
4. Press BACK to return to the previous display.

Method 3

1. Press the OFF button on the car stereo to display the clock.
2. Press and hold the SELECT button for two seconds.
3. After the setup display appears, press the SELECT button repeatedly until DEMO appears.
4. Rotate the control dial to select either DEMO-ON or DEMO-OFF.
5. Press and hold the SELECT button. Then the display returns to normal play/reception mode.
