My name is Aleksandra Szmigiel, a Sony European Imaging Ambassador from Poland, working as a sports photographer. My passion for sports photography is deeply rooted in my background as a former athlete. I used to compete in athletics, specialising in the 800 meters. I understand the dedication, the emotions, and the pain that comes with sports, which allows me to capture their stories more intimately. It's this personal connection that helps me create images that resonate with both the athletes and the audience.

Sports photography is very dynamic so you must always be ready for unexpected moments. Athletes can produce incredible feats at any time, and I need to be prepared. It's a balance of anticipation and creativity. I focus on not just capturing the action but also those subtle details and emotions that might go unnoticed by the naked eye. It's about telling a complete story through my lens.

I'm so excited about this new Alpha, especially its blazing speed. This camera is a game-changer for sports photographers with its incredibly quick-burst shutter and the fastest frame rate I've ever experienced. The global shutter is another remarkable feature, ensuring sharp, distortion-free images even with fast-moving subjects. Additionally, its low-light sensitivity is a lifesaver for unpredictable weather conditions.

But one feature that truly sets it apart is the Pre-Capture option that makes sure we never miss a critical shot. It allows us to capture moments that occurred just before the shutter release, making it invaluable for those split-second actions like I usually have when shooting athletes. It’s a revolutionary tool for sports photographers, and I can't wait to take it to the world's biggest athletic events.

Since I started using Sony cameras, the technology has made a huge difference to my work. It's all about speed and precision and this camera reflects that. Sony keeps surprising me, even when I think I can’t go higher they give me the tools to elevate my work even more, and this camera is a perfect example of that. I’m absolutely amazed by its super-fast frame rate and low light sensitivity which allows me to capture sharp, detail-rich images even in challenging conditions. The improved eye-tracking technology allows me to choose which eye to focus on, giving me more creative control. Plus, the ergonomics and usability of the camera make my work smoother and more efficient. It surprised me and helped me shooting sports and I’m sure it would do the same for anyone who tries it.

What keeps me motivated is my unwavering passion for my work. The opportunity to capture athletes during their most significant moments and to share their emotions with the world is an incredible privilege.
