NEP Europe continues longstanding relationship with Sony through investment in HDC-4300s

60 of Sony’s next generation 4K HDR live cameras chosen as NEP furthers investment in Sony technology

15 September 2017, Amsterdam: Today, NEP, a long-term partner of Sony, announces a significant investment in 4K HDR broadcasting, with the purchase of 60 HDC-4300 4K/HD system cameras.

Sony’s HDC-4300 was chosen specifically for its peerless image quality, in order to deliver vibrant, true-to-life images. The cameras needed to capture rich colours, superb detail, and a low level of noise to deliver enhanced picture quality. Sony’s HDC-4300s can seamlessly integrate with advanced 4K workflows, providing a smooth path to a 4K broadcasting future.

The announcement comes as part of NEP’s and Sony’s longstanding relationship and continues NEP’s commitment to delivering the latest broadcast solutions across Europe. The deal follows an investment in 85 HDC-4300 cameras by NEP UK in 2016 to fulfil a major sporting contract.

Maarten Swinnen, managing director, NEP Belgium, commented: “We chose Sony’s HDC-4300 because of its proven 4K and HDR performance. As it’s Sony, we already had complete confidence in the technology and we know the investment will help deliver quality programming to audiences around the world.”

Norbert Paquet, head of product management at Sony Professional Solutions Europe, added: “By choosing Sony’s HDC-4300 cameras, NEP has equipped themselves with 4K/HDR ready cameras. This means seamless migration to 4K in the future, whilst reaping the benefits of reliability and flexibility today.”
