Sony showcases its latest professional AV and IT solutions at ISE 2017

Amsterdam, 7th February, 2017- Sony returns to ISE 2017 in Amsterdam to share how a blank canvas comes to life with incredible imaging technology and solutions that go Beyond Definition. At stand 1-N20, under the theme ‘Beyond Definition’, Sony is showcasing innovative professional AV and IT solutions that deliver ultra-real images, helping customers to optimise the creative, operational, and economic value of their work.

Bringing reality closer with innovative imaging technology
Visitors will be able to experience Sony’s latest solutions that deliver ultra-real images in a wide range of visual presentations, simulations and entertainment environments. The CLEDISTM ultimate big-screen display system will be on show at ISE for the first time, delivering 8Kx2K visual experiences that combine a high-contrast image (more than 1,000,000:1) with an impressive 1000 nit brightness, due to uniform brightness intensity. Volkswagen Group will be joining Sony at ISE, presenting the XL1 concept car, to bring to life how CLEDIS can support the virtual design process.

In order for the system to be flexible and robust, Sony has adopted the software-defined video over Ethernet (SDVoE) platform for interoperable AV-over-IP applications, behind the CLEDIS display. Sony can now construct power wall systems with more flexibility, beyond 4K, with free aspect and free layout contents on any size of display output.
Sony will also be showcasing its range of SXRDTM projection solutions to enhance planetariums, flight simulation, industrial design and beyond. Providing a fully immersive experience, the VPL-GTZ280 delivers outstanding 4K image quality in 2D or 3D, through powerful 5,000 lumens brightness and long-lasting laser light source (Z-PhosphorTM). In addition, content is blended onto the interior curved surface of the solution.

Presentation and intuitive collaboration solutions for education and corporate environments
Sony will be showcasing complete solutions for active learning and corporate meetings, including Vision ExchangeTM. Vision Exchange provides a dynamic, flexible solution to suit a wide range of teaching spaces and meeting areas. Teams can brainstorm and work collaboratively, wirelessly sharing content from everyone’s laptop or tablet. It is just as easy to bring in participants to join the discussion by adding a video connection to remote locations, making teamwork truly global.

Sony’s two brand new generation laser light source (Z-Phosphor) projectors, the 5,000 lumens WUXGA VPL-PHZ10 and 5,000 lumens WXGA VPL-PWZ10 will be demonstrated at the show. Designed to make laser technology more cost-effective than ever to the installation market, from classrooms to meeting rooms, the projectors bring the image quality, colour reproduction and virtually zero-maintenance benefits of laser to customers who may have only experienced lamp-based projection to date.

Visitors to the stand will be able to experience Sony’s BRAVIA Professional Displays, combining industry-leading 4K and Full HD image quality with excellent reliability, low running costs and versatile professional features. Sony’s BRAVIA solutions offer even more exciting capabilities, with a growing choice of complete solutions including: smart BRAVIA screencast meeting room solution for corporations or Digital Signage software, both of which make it quick and easy to create eye-catching multimedia experiences.

Delivering exceptional event productions
Drawing on decades of leadership in broadcast TV and live programme production, Sony is demonstrating its exciting family of easy-to-use and cost effective production solutions that cut the complexity of creating and sharing high-quality video content.
Show attendees will be able to experience the newly announced RM-IP500 Remote Controller, which delivers greater flexibility and easier operation of PTZ Cameras, making it ideal for lecture capture and corporate event productions. It is designed to work with Sony’s BRC-X1000/H900/H800 and SRG-360SHE PTZ cameras, as well as the MCX-500 production switcher, and allows single-operator control of up to 100 cameras.

Aimed at corporate media producers and higher education, the HXR-NX5R Full HD handheld camera will also be on show, partnered at ISE with the MCX-500 production switcher and RM-30BP multi-function remote commander.
Teaming exceptional reliability with low total cost of ownership, latest-generation Optical Disc Archive takes media content storage to the next level with even faster file transfers and larger media capacity.

The new E500/E400 series projectors feature a 20,000:1 contrast ratio and Sony´s acclaimed 3LCD BrightEraTM technology to deliver high image quality and natural, vivid colour reproduction. Seven new models have been added to the E500/E400 series, ideal for a wide range of B2B applications for mid-sized classrooms and meeting rooms.

The VPL-VZ1000ES home cinema projector will also be showcased for the first time in Europe following its launch at CES in January.
