Sony Professional extends partnership with HDR – delivers two new OB trucks
Basingstoke – April 17, 2016: Sony Professional has signed a new deal with Swedish broadcasting company HD Resources (HDR). The deal includes technology and system integration (SI) of two new OB buses. Sony was chosen because of their cutting-edge broadcasting technology and proven smooth SI cooperation.
The new deal includes delivery of broadcasting technology for two new OB trucks and system integration of Full HD camera units (HDC-4300 and HDC-P1), monitors (BVM-F170A) and production switchers (MVS-7000X).
Sony’s SI professionals will install all necessary technology and deliver a turnkey solution that will enable HDR to be even more flexible as well as producing higher volumes of broadcast material.
“Sony has always had great products for outside broadcasting. In addition, we have always had a great synergy and worked smoothly together with Sony’s SI professionals. Sony is a big player within their field, but has previously proven to be highly responsive and have enabled us to do things our way with mutual development as a result. I know what to expect and I feel confident that Sony will meet our expectations this time as well,” says Per de Navarro, Technical Director at HD Recourses. “The partnership between HDR and Sony stretches back to 2007. With the new deal included, Sony has in total developed ten OB trucks in close collaboration with HDR.”
“We are very happy for this continued and deepened collaboration. We are confident that this new deal will facilitate for HDR to deliver even larger volumes and images of higher quality than before,” says Henrik Felixon, Key Account Manager for Broadcast in the Nordics & Baltics.
The new agreement was signed in December 2015 and will be fully implemented by end of July 2016.
