Sony’s IT-based Sonaps production solution will be used in Turkey for the first time by Beyaz TV
Beyaz TV is the first Turkish broadcaster to become a user of Sony's network-based production system Sonaps, which is used by many broadcasters operating in various parts of the world
09.04.2015, Istanbul – Sony, which is a leader in conventional broadcasting systems, is transferring this success to IT-based broadcasting systems; with its Sonaps network-based production system, it meets the needs of broadcasting companies that want to make the move to HD while protecting existing workflows for an advanced technological product with reasonable start-up costs. Beyaz TV is the first Turkish adopter of the Sonaps system, which is used by many broadcasting organisations operating in various parts of the world.
Sonaps is an end-to-end network-connected production solution that supports the planning, transfer, arrangement and preparation for broadcast of video materials. Due to its advanced data processing features, facilitation of fast and creative content management and open interface, Sonaps provides broadcasters with the reliability and speed needed in news production, and has become the optimal production environment.
Before the new broadcasting year starts in September, Beyaz TV is investing in news and broadcast production technologies as part of its transition to HD. Since its initial establishment, Beyaz TV has always favoured Sony products, and has done so again in its move to HD broadcasting. The strength of Sony’s support while using the Sony product HD Exchange system was a key factor in Beyaz TV's choice to continue working with Sony. Sony is a reliable strategic partner in broadcasting systems, and is supplying HSC-100 series cameras and MVS-6530 video switchers for the transition to HD of Beyaz TV's studios and live broadcast vehicles. Beyaz TV will use this new infrastructure in its headquarters in Ankara for all HD productions. The Sonaps system will be installed by Sony's authorised business partner Avkom.
