My tablet does not turn on or does not behave as expected / Internal memory is not detected

1. My tablet does not turn on
- Ensure the tablet is connectedto its power supply.
- Verifythat the charging indicator light on the tablet (between Power and Volume up buttons) is ON.
If the charging indicator light is not on, then your tablet is not receiving power.- Verifyif the connectoris securely plugged into the tablet. To do so, disconnect it, check for foreign particles and reconnect it again. (Please note that the charger should feel slightly warm to the touch after 15-20 min of charging)
- Make sure you Tabletispluggeddirectlyto thechargershipped with the unit; do not use a computer's USB port.
- Pressthe power button.
- If the tablet still doesn't start,
- Press and hold the powerbutton for10-15 seconds(the LED will blink 1-2 times).
- Pressthe powerbuttonagain
- If the issue is not resolved, a repair may be necessary. Please contact us.
2. My tablet freezes
- Press and holdthe powerbutton for about 10-15seconds to turn the tablet off.
Note: any unsaved data will be lost. - Pressthe powerbutton again.
- If your tablet freezes again, take note of which app you were using at the time.
- Checkif there are any updatesavailablefor the app in the Google Play Store.
- Tap Apps&Widgets, then tapPlay Store
- Tap Downloadicon in the top right corner.
- All apps linked to your Google account are listed, with available updates highlighted on the top left.
- Install relevant updates and try again.
- Confirmthat the app is explicitly marked as compatiblewith your Sony Tablet, or at least compatible with tablet devices running Android 4.0 or higher. The Play Store serves many different types of devices, and not all apps are compatible with all devices.
- Considerperforming a Factory Reset to restore the original working image to the tablet.
3. My tablet cannot be turned off
- Press and holdthe powerbutton for10-15 secondsto force a shut down.

4. When and how to perform a factory reset / Internal memory is not detected
If your Sony Tablet shows unexpected behaviour which is either not addressed or resolved by the solutions above, please perform a factory reset.- Turnthe tablet on.
- When the home screen is displayed, tap Apps & Widgetsin the top right corner.
- Tap Settingsand then Backup & reset.
- Enablethe restore optionsyou require, e.g. Back up my data and Automatic restore.
- Tap Factory data reset.
- Ensure that you have details such as your Google account, your wireless network and similar settings recorded elsewhere before you proceed.
- Tap Reset tablet to continue.
- Tap Erase everything to confirm that you are aware data will be deleted.
- After a few seconds, the tablet will shutdown.
- Followthe start-up wizard.
- Visitthe Play Storeto reinstalltheapps you still want to use.
