What is Fast Startup and how can I configure it
Fast startup is a setting that helps your PC start up faster after shutdown. Windows does this by saving system info to a file upon shutdown. When you start your PC again, Windows uses that system info to resume your PC instead of restarting it.
- Launch Charms by placing the cursor to the top right hand or bottom left hand corner on the desktop
- Select “Settings”
- Select “Control Panel”
- Select “System and Security”
- Select “Power Options”
- Select “Choose what the power buttons do”
- Confirm that there is a checkmark next to “Turn on fast startup (recommended)
Place a checkmark in this field if it is unchecked and select “Save changes”
