I'm having issues with my Xperia 5 IV compass (e.g., low accuracy, ineffective calibration, failure to update location in Google Maps)

If your Xperia 5 IV compass (eCompass™) isn’t working properly, you may have trouble using location-based services such as Google Maps.

Have you already tried enabling location services and/or performing either a factory data reset, software repair, or software update without success?
We are aware of these issues with the Xperia 5 IV compass and are working hard to resolve them.
Solution:
A revision of the compass correction parameters will be implemented in Android 14 in addition to a firmware update expected at the beginning of 2024.
