Battery mode is unavailable or unable to turn off SRS speaker when connected to an electrical socket

No Battery mode or unable to turn off the speaker when plugged in

If you're experiencing the following with your SRS-XG500 / XP500 / XP700 wireless speaker:

• It's connected to an electrical socket, but you're unable to turn off the speaker
• You can't use the speaker in battery mode

Luckily, you can quickly solve this situation by initialising the speaker. 

How to initialise the SRS-XG500 / XP500 / XP700 Wireless speaker

While the speaker is turned on, press and hold the Play button and MEGA BASS buttons for over five seconds until the speaker turns off.
