You can check which codec is being used by the smartphone using the Sony | Headphones Connect app:
- Subband Codec (SBC) or
- Advanced Audio Coding (AAC)
The codec used to make a Bluetooth® connection depends on the type of connected device, its Operating System, software version, and device settings.
