I can't operate my previous BRAVIA TVs with the remote control included with a newly bought Google TV™ or Android TV™

The remote controls supplied with Sony's Google TVs or Android TVs released in 2019 or later use Bluetooth technology to communicate with the TV. Because the new remote controls communicate differently, they can't communicate with TVs released before 2019.
We recommend using the remote control supplied with your TV. If you are unsure of which remote to use, check your product's specification page on our support site or the user manual. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
