Can High-Resolution Audio be played from a smartphone, iPhone, iPod, or WALKMAN connected to the USB1 or USB2 ports?
The answer is different according to the device type:
- For smartphones, Hi-Res audio can be played when connected via MSC (Mass Storage Class) mode.
- For Apple iPhone mobile digital devices and Apple iPod portable players, Hi-Res audio files can be played using the USB-DAC port, but not the USB1 or USB2 ports.
- Yes, Hi-Res audio can be played on USB1 or USB2 ports. The Hi-Res audio playback function is available on select Walkman players. To know if your Walkman player can playback Hi-Res audio files, check the specifications.
