How do I watch broadcast television on my Android TV?

When you power on your Sony's Android TV, the HOME interface is launched. In order to start watching broadcast or satellite TV, there are a few different alternatives to choose from. Select the option that is the most convenient for you.

1. Through the Action Menu
2. By changing the input of the TV
3. From the HOME menu
4. Through the Discover menu

Use the arrow buttons on your remote to navigate around the TV menu	Select options by pressing the "plus" button. This is the round button in the centre of the circular Menu area of your remote.

Through the Action Menu

1. Start by pressing Action Menu on the supplied remote controller.
   
   
   
   NOTE: This feature is only available on the KDL-xxX9xxC and KDL-xxX8xxC television models.
   
   If you use the One-Flick remote, you can access the Action Menu either by click the top button, or by performing a flick down movement.
   
2. A drop down menu will now appear on your screen.
    
   • Select Broadcast in Display & Sound
   • Select Return to TV
     
     
3. You should now be able to watch television broadcasts.

By changing the input of the TV

1. At the top of the remote controller, press the INPUT button, located on the top left of the supplied remote controller.
   
   
2. A new menu will appear on the left hand of the screen, showing all the different inputs of your television.
   Select Analogue, Digital or Satellite, depending on the signal received from your broadcast provider and confirm.
   
   
3. You should now be able to watch television broadcasts.

From the HOME menu

1. Press the HOME button on the supplied remote controller.

   If you are using the One-Flick remote, the HOME button is located mid-right.
   
   
2. An on-screen input menu will now appear.
   Proceed by selecting Analogue, Digital or Satellite depending on the signal received from your broadcast provider and confirm.
   
   
    

Through the Discover menu

1. Press the DISCOVER button on the supplied remote controller.

   If you use the One-Flick remote, you can access the Discover menu either by click the top button, or by performing a flick up movement.
   
   
2. The Discovery menu will open up, where you can directly access your favourite channels. You can scroll the lists with arrow up/down buttons, or with the flick up/down movement.
   When clicking the  Let's add favourite channels! you can personalize the menu according to your preference. 
   
    
   • From My Apps you can add your favourite apps to the Discovery menu.
   • From the Settings* you can select the displayed categories in Discover menu as well adjust the size of the menu and select the sorting order for the TV programmes displayed.
