Can the USB device be disconnected from the car stereo while playing music?

IMPORTANT: Not all car stereo receivers have USB capabilities. To see if your Sony product has the USB function described in this solution, check the specifications.

WARNING: There is a risk of data loss. Disconnecting a USB device from the car stereo receiver during playback can damage the data on the portable device.

Please make sure to stop playback or switch to another SOURCE before removing the USB device.
In addition, please remove the DMP (Digital Music Player) after turning OFF the main unit (Car Stereo). A Please do not cancel the connection message may appear during USB connection, depending on DMP.

NOTE: To avoid any error messages, turn off the power on the car stereo before disconnecting the USB device.
