How to use and customize the soft keys

The soft keys have different roles depending on the context. The assigned role (function) of each soft key is shown on the screen. To use the function shown at the upper right corner of the screen, press soft key A. To use the function shown at the lower right corner of the screen, press soft key B. To use the function shown at the centre, press the centre of the control wheel (soft key C).

Follow the steps below to customize soft keys B and .

NOTES:

• Soft key A is not customisable.
• A customised soft key will only work in P (Program Auto), A (Aperture Priority), S (Shutter Priority), and M (Manual Exposure) shooting modes.
• The Soft Key feature may not be available if the camera does not have the latest firmware update. Make sure your camera has the latest software and firmware updates.

Customise Soft Key B:

NOTE: The default setting for soft key B is Shoot.Tips

1. Press Menu, and then Setup.
2. Under Setup, choose Soft key B Setting and the desired function.

Customise Soft Key C:

NOTE: The default setting for soft key C is Shoot Mode

1. Press Menu, and then Setup.
2. Under Setup, choose Soft key C Setting and then Custom.
3. You can then choose to Assign a function to Custom 1, Custom 2, or Custom 3.
