Announcement for customers using PlayMemories Home, Action Cam Movie Creator, MVR Studio and Sony Raw Driver - 19/09/2019

    Dear Valued Customer,

    As of March 31, 2020, the download services for the Windows 32-bit and Mac versions of PlayMemories Home, Action Cam Movie Creator and MVR Studio, as well as the Sony Raw Driver, will be terminated.

    For Windows users:

    The following download services will be terminated as of March 31, 2020:

    • PlayMemories Home (32 bits)
    • Action Cam Movie Creator (32 bits)
    • MVR Studio (32 bits)
    • Sony Raw Driver

    Notes:

    • Windows 64-bit versions of PlayMemories Home and Action Cam Movie Creator will still be available.
    • If you are unsure whether your Windows computer is using 32-bit or 64-bit architecture, you can verify it by opening Windows Explorer, right-clicking on “This PC” or “My Computer” and choosing Properties. Under System Type, 32-bit or 64-bit Operating System will be indicated.

     

    For Mac users:

    The following services will be terminated as of March 31, 2020:

    • PlayMemories Home (for Mac)
    • Action Cam Movie Creator (for Mac)
    • MVR Studio (for Mac)

    Please also note that once you update the Operating System of your Mac to macOS 10.15, you will no longer be able to continue using PlayMemories Home, Action Cam Movie Creator, and MVR Studio.

     

    The most recent operating systems (OS) from Microsoft and Apple allow you to transfer files from your camera or camcorder to your computer without the need for additional software. For other features proposed by these applications, we recommend installing Imaging Edge (photography), pre-installed software on your computer, or other commercially available software.
