Bring out the best in the latest α™ bodies

AF/AE tracking speed that can keep up with the 120-fps continuous burst capability of the α9 III, precise tracking and focus even while zooming, and other features take full advantage of the latest α series bodies. Thanks to an effective dust and moisture resistant design this lens also offers extra reliability in tough conditions.

Outstanding imaging performance

Three aspherical elements combine with one ED glass element to deliver excellent optical performance throughout the zoom range. Clear, lifelike rendering has been achieved without colour bleeding. A 7-blade circular aperture unit contributes to attractive, natural-looking bokeh.

Great for movies as well as stills

Optical image stabilisation using advanced algorithms supports handheld shooting. It also works with in-body stabilisation and Sony’s Active Mode to deliver reliable stabilisation for movies. The Breathing Compensation feature in α series bodies is also supported, reducing distracting angle of view shifts and allowing smooth rack focusing.
