The Ambient Sound Mode or Noise Canceling function changes unexpectedly, or a notification sound is heard.

When the Ambient Sound Control mode changes unexpectedly, check the following:

The touch sensor is tapped inadvertently (for Truly Wireless headphones with touch sensors)

This issue can be caused if the touch sensor is tapped inadvertently. If this happens frequently, you can disable the touch sensor by changing the function of the touch sensor to None Assigned using the Sony | Sound Connect app.

    1. Open the Sony | Sound Connect app, and select Device settingsControls.
    2. Select right arrow icon at the right side of the Change the touch sensor function or Change the tap operation function menu.
    3. Select Not Assigned, and then tap DONE.

Adaptive Sound Control is set to On

When the Adaptive Sound Control is set to On, the Sony | Sound Connect app detects where you are and what you are doing and adjusts the setting of the Noise Canceling or Ambient Sound Control. The notification sound tells you when the Noise Canceling or Ambient Sound Control setting change.

Note: To disable the notification sound, open the Sony | Sound Connect app and, in the Adaptive Sound Control screen, select three-dot icon → Adaptive Sound Control Settings, and turn off Notification Tone.

    1. Follow these steps to turn Off the Adaptive Sound Control:
      • Open the Sony | Sound Connect app, and turn off the Adaptive Sound Control.
    2. Adjust the Noise Canceling or Ambient Sound Control manually.
      1. Open the Sony | Sound Connect app, and select right arrow icon at the right side of the Ambient Sound Control menu.
      2. Select Noise Canceling or select Ambient Sound, and move the slide bar to change the Ambient Sound Control level.
