How to tell the difference between an Android and non-Android TV

    Our Bravia TV line-up can be split into 3 distinct categories:

    • Google TVs
    • Android TVs
    • Non-Android Smart TVs

    You can identify each category based on the images below:

    Google TV

    • There is a Google TV display in the upper left.
    • There is a Google account icon in the upper right corner, and clicking it will bring up the dashboard


    Android TV

    Android TVs will display a Home menu screen, as shown below.
    The Home menu screen on an Android TV is similar to the Google TV Home menu screen, but there is no Google account icon on the upper right corner of the screen. Instead, you'll see a Clock or (Settings) icon.
    The display on the upper right of the screen differs depending on the models or settings.


    Non-Android Smart TVs

    Non-Android TVs do not use the Android Operating system. They can connect to the internet and have preinstalled apps.

    Home screens for non-Android TVs may differ depending on the models and apps available. Here's some examples:
