I changed the subtitle setting, but the setting is not being retained

If you want the subtitle setting to be retained indefinitely, follow these steps.

1. Open the  Settings screen. How to access Settings 
   • If the remote control has a Quick Settings ( or ) button, press the Quick Settings button and select  Settings.
   • If the remote control does not have a Quick Settings ( or ) button, press the HOME button and select  Settings.
2. The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
   • Select Channels & Inputs → Preferences (Channels) → Subtitle setting → Broadcast → Subtitle.
   • Select Channels & Inputs → Preferences (Channels) → Subtitle setting → Subtitle.
   • Select Watching TV → Preferences (Channels) → Subtitle setting → Broadcast → Subtitle.
   • Select Watching TV → Channels → Channel setup → Digital Set-up → Subtitle Set-up → Subtitle settings.
   • Select Channel setup → Digital Set-up → Subtitle Set-up → Subtitle settings.
   • Select Watching TV → Channel setup → Digital Setup → Subtitle Setup → Subtitle.
   • Select BRAVIA Settings → Channel setup → Digital Setup → Subtitle Setup → Subtitle settings.
3. Select one of the following.
   • Select Off if you want the subtitles to remain OFF.
   • Select Basic if you always want subtitles to be displayed.
   • Select For Hard Of Hearing if you always want the subtitles for hard of hearing.
