How to detach the table-top stand for Google TV models

Choose your model and proceed with the steps listed:

X90J, X91J, X92J, X93J, X94J (50”/55”/65”/75”), X85J, X86J, X89J (43”/50”/55”/65”/75”/85”), X79J, X80J, X81J, X82J (43”/50”/55”/65”/75”) series

First, try the normal method to detach the table-top stand: How to change the height and position of the Table-Top Stand after it has already been set up.
If it is difficult to detach the table-top stand with the normal method, follow the instruction below to detach the Table-Top stand using a flathead screwdriver:

Removing the Table-Top Stand with the TV in the upright position

Notes:

Three or more people are required to detach the Table-Top Stand.
Use a flathead screwdriver to detach the stand (please add tape to the tip of the driver to prevent scratching the TV).
Be careful not to use excessive force while detaching the Table-Top Stand from the TV or LCD Monitor as it may cause the TV or LCD Monitor set to fall resulting in personal injury or physical damage to the TV or LCD Monitor.
As you detach the Table-Top Stand, be careful when lifting the TV because the Table-Top Stand may topple over and cause injury or damage to the surface that the TV is sitting on.

Lift one side of the TV set.
Using a flat-head screwdriver, insert it vertically into the stand insertion slot.

Note: It is recommended that you add tape to the tip of the screwdriver before starting work to prevent scratching the TV.
Push up the flat-head screwdriver (so that the handle part comes out to the TV screen side), until the stand comes out a little from the insertion slot. (Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the other side)
Pull the Table-Top Stand out of the insertion slot with your hands.

Removing the Table-Top Stand with the TV in the laydown position (43”/50” only)

Notes:

Make sure to place the TV or LCD Monitor on a soft cloth to prevent damaging the display's surface.
Be sure to store the removed Table-top Stand in a safe place, keeping them away from children. You will need them if you want to use the TV or LCD Monitor on a table in the future. The Table-Top Stand cannot be purchased separately.

On a table covered with a soft cloth, place the TV with the LCD screen side down.
Using a flat-head screwdriver, insert it horizontally into the stand insertion slot.

Note: It is recommended that you attach tape to the metal part of the screwdriver before starting work so that the TV will not be scratched.
Push down the flat-head screwdriver (so that the handle part comes down to the TV screen side), until the stand comes out a little from the insertion slot. (Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the other side)
Use your hands to pull the Table-Top Stand out of the insertion slot.

Notes:

Three or more people are required to detach the Table-Top Stand
Use a flathead driver to detach the stand (please add tape to the tip of the driver to prevent scratching the TV)
Be careful not to use excessive force while detaching the Table-Top Stand from the TV or LCD Monitor as it may cause the TV or LCD Monitor set to fall resulting in personal injury or physical damage to the TV or LCD Monitor
As you detach the Table-Top Stand, be careful when lifting the TV because the Table-Top Stand may topple over and cause injury or damage to the surface that the TV is sitting on

Pull out the Table-Top Stand from the TV.

If difficult to detach the table-top stand with the normal method above, please follow the instruction below.

Removing the Table-Top Stand with the TV in the upright position

Lift up the TV set from both sides with two or more people.
Using a flat-head screwdriver, insert it horizontally between the stand arm and the bottom of the TV.

Note: It is recommended that you attach tape to the metal part of the screwdriver before starting work so that the TV will not be scratched.
Push up the flat-head screwdriver until the stand comes out a little from the insertion slot. (Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the other side.)
While one person holds the stand down, the other two (or more people) will lift the TV set to remove the stand.

Removing the Table-Top Stand with the TV in the laydown position (43”/50” only)

Notes:

Make sure to place the TV or LCD Monitor on a soft cloth on to prevent damaging the display's surface.
Be sure to store the removed Table-top Stand in a safe place, keeping them away from children. You will need them if you want to use the TV or LCD Monitor on a table in the future. The Table-Top Stand cannot be purchased separately.

Insert a flat-head screwdriver vertically between the stand and the bottom of the TV.

Push down the flathead screwdriver until the stand comes out a little from the insertion slot. (Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the other side.)
Use your hands to pull out the Table-Top Stand out of the insertion slot.
