    Voice search

The voice search function can help you find the content you are looking for by listening to your spoken search words. To use the voice search function, you need an Internet connection and must be signed in to your Google account.

When you are using an app, search results in the app will be displayed on your TV screen. Below are examples of where the voice search function can be used:

    • YouTube™: You can search for content available on YouTube.
    • TV broadcast: TV programmes related to your search word appear on your TV screen.

Note: Search results will come from YouTube content if the app you are using doesn't support the voice search function.

How to use the voice search function

    1. On your remote control, press the MIC or Google Assistant button.
    2. At the top of your TV remote control, speak into the microphone (such as a movie title) while holding the MIC or Google Assistant button.

If your TV has Google Assistant, you can use voice to ask Google Assistant to play your favourite movie or TV show, check the score of your favourite team, control your TV, or dim the lights, among other things.

Note: Whether the TV supports Google Assistant varies depending on your region or language. For details, refer to the Supported countries/regions/languages and how to use Google Assistant article.
