An app has disappeared from the Application screen, how to find it? (Android 9 or higher)

Rearrange the apps on the application screen to find missing apps
On the Application screen, find and tap  icon → Sort apps → By name or Own order.

Verify what apps are installed

1. Find and tap Play Store.
2. At the top right, tap your profile picture/ initial.
3. Tap Manage apps & device → Manage.
4. Tap the Installed tab.
   

If you are missing a third-party app, download and reinstall the app from Google Play™.

Sony applications like Music, Album, Alarm and Messaging have a Disable/Enable option.
Some Google™ apps like Chrome may also have the Disable/Enable option. All other third-party apps can be uninstalled.

To enable a disabled app

1. Find and tap Settings → Apps → See all (no of) apps.
2. Select the app that you want to enable, then tap ENABLE.
   

Reset the app preferences

This action resets all disabled apps, disabled app notifications, default applications for certain actions, and background data restrictions for apps.

1. Find and tap Settings → Apps → See all (no of) apps.
2. Tap  icon →  Reset app preferences 
3. Tap RESET APPS from the pop-up window that appears on the screen.

Occasionally, an operating system bug may occur. Try to restart your phone to resolve the issue.

To restart your device

1. Press the volume up button and power button at the same time.
2. In the menu that opens, tap Restart.

Check if you can find the missing apps or if the apps are installed on your device
