Troubleshoot Bluetooth device connection issues with Android TVs released in 2017 and after

The TV or the device volume may be low. Check the volume level of each device.
Set the input of the connected device to Bluetooth.
- Check your device manual for more information.
Check these steps if the Bluetooth connection is unstable.
1. Open the Settings menu. The options vary depending on the model year of your TV.
  - Using the Quick Settings button (For models released in 2019 or later):
    1. On the supplied remote, press the Quick Settings button.
    2. Select the Settings icon.
  - Using the HOME menu button:
    1. On the supplied remote, press the HOME button.
    2. Select the Settings icon.
2. The next steps depend on your TV menu options:
  - Select Remote and Accessories. (Android™ 10)
  - Select Remote & Accessories → Bluetooth settings. (Android 9)
  - Select Bluetooth settings. (Android 8.0 or earlier)
3. Unpair the connected devices in the Registered devices or ACCESSORIES list and then pair them again.
Reset the device to the factory settings.
- Check your device manual for details.

Check the solution that is appropriate to the issue on your device.

The device sound and TV image are out of sync
- Set A/V sync to Auto or On.
  1. Open the Settings menu. The options vary depending on the model year of your TV.
    - Using the Quick Settings button (For models released in 2019 or later):
      On the supplied remote, press the Quick Settings button.
      Select the Settings icon.
    - Using the HOME menu button:
      On the supplied remote, press the HOME button.
      Select the Settings icon.
  2. Follow the steps according to your TV menu options:
    - Select Display & Sound → Audio output → A/V Sync.
    - Select Sound → A/V Sync.
  3. Set to Auto or On.
    - If set to Auto: Reduces the lag between the audio and video except when the Picture mode is set to Game/Photo/Graphics
    - If set to On: Always reduces the lag between audio and video
- If the issue occurs when you're watching a video for long period of time, try these steps:
  1. Open the Settings menu. The options vary depending on the model year of your TV.
    - Using the Quick Settings button (For models released in 2019 or later):
      On the supplied remote, press the Quick Settings button.
      Select the Settings icon.
    - Using the HOME menu button:
      On the supplied remote, press the HOME button.
      Select the Settings icon.
  2. Follow the steps according to your TV menu options:
    - Select Remote and Accessories. (Android 10)
    - Select Remote & Accessories → Bluetooth settings. (Android 9)
    - Select Bluetooth settings. (Android 8.0 or earlier)
  3. Unpair the connected devices in the Registered devices or ACCESSORIES list and then pair them again.
Sound distortion occurs
Check where your device is located. These situations may cause interference:
- The Bluetooth device and the TV are too far apart.
- A microwave is in use.
- The router is near multiple Bluetooth devices or to the TV.
- There are multiple Bluetooth devices near the TV.
Note: If the issue still occurs, another option is to use an HDMI® or analog cable.

The sound may echo when you connected an external device through an HDMI cable and a Bluetooth device to the TV at the same time. In this case, we recommend you disconnect the Bluetooth device and use only an HDMI cable for a more stable connection.

To fix this issue, check the following:

This function works on certain soundbar models. In this case, use the supplied remote control or use the buttons on the soundbar to change the volume.
This issue may also occur if you connect an external device through an HDMI cable and a Bluetooth device to the TV at the same time. In this case, disconnect the Bluetooth device and then connect it with an HDMI cable.
Note: We recommend using an HDMI cable for a more stable connection.
