    Android 16 is now rolling out to Xperia 1 VII, Xperia 1 VI, Xperia 10 VII and Xperia 10 VI*.

    No more cluttered notification bars. Android 16 automatically groups similar alerts from the same app, so you only see what matters most.

    Maximum protection with Advanced Protection

    To enable it, go to:

    Settings → Google → All services → Advanced Protection

    Stream to your TV with Cast

    Wireless screen mirroring is now easier. Use the Cast function in Quick Settings to connect your Xperia to a compatible TV — no cables required.

    Note: Screen mirroring has been merged with the Cast feature in the Settings menu.

    How to update

    1. Back up your data before installing.
    2. Ensure your device is charged and connected to Wi‑Fi.
    3. Go to Settings → System → Software update.
