Nothing is displayed on the camera monitor.
Check the monitor display settings.
- Clean off any dust or dirt covering the eye sensor.
For models that have the Finder/Monitor setting and DISP (Display Setting) on the MENU screen
Please check the settings on the MENU screen while looking through the viewfinder.
Note: Some functions may not be available depending on the model.
- Look through the viewfinder and confirm that the screen is displayed.
- Check the MENU screen, and if the setting for Finder/Monitor is set to VF(Manual), change it to Auto.
- Check the MENU screen and uncheck the checkbox for DISP Button / DISP (Display Setting), then select Finder → Monitor Off.
For models with a LIVE VIEW/OVF switch
Confirm that the switch is not set to OVF. If the switch is set to OVF, set it to LIVE VIEW.
For models with a FINDER/MONITOR (LCD) switch button
Press the button and check if the display appears on the monitor.
Note: If you turn the camera off with the display mode switched to Viewfinder, the camera will stay in this mode when you turn it back on.
If there is no improvement after performing the above steps
The product may need repair.
