How to control your camera remotely using the Imaging Edge Mobile app

    With the Imaging Edge Mobile app, you can access different camera settings and control your Sony camera remotely from your smartphone.

    Note: The Imaging Edge Mobile app replaces PlayMemories Mobile™. 

    IMPORTANT:

    To perform this procedure, you must install the Imaging Edge Mobile app on your smartphone. Visit the Apple App Store® or Google Play™ Store on your smartphone to download and install it.

    Controlling Your Camera Remotely

    The procedure may differ depending on the model, but in general, you can follow these steps:

    1. After installing the app, visit the Imaging Edge Mobile website.
    2. Search for your camera model via the category selector at the top, or scroll down the page to see all models.
    3. Select your camera model, and then refer to the Operating the camera from a smartphone/tablet (remote shooting) section:
      • Select [Connecting] for instructions on how to connect your camera and smartphone (e.g., Connecting by QR code, Connecting by Wi-Fi using NFC).
      • Select [Operating the camera remotely] for instructions on how to access different camera settings from your smartphone (e.g., Zoom, Camera Remote Power ON/OFF, Mirror Mode).
    4. Follow the steps provided.
