Can the Equaliser settings on a Bluetooth connected device be reflected on wireless headphones?

Whether or not the Equaliser settings of a Bluetooth connected device can be reflected on the headphones, varies depending on the Bluetooth device.
When connected to a Walkman
Whether or not the Equaliser settings will be reflected on the headphones depends on the model of the Walkman:
- NW-A30, NW-A40, NW-A50, NW-WM1, and NW-ZX300 series
The Equaliser settings won't be reflected on the headphones with these models. To set the Equaliser on the headphones, connect your smartphone to the headphones and set the Equaliser using the Sony | Sound Connect app. This stores the Equaliser settings in the headphones. After completing this step, connect the headphones to the Walkman. You can now play music on the headphones with the Equaliser feature activated. - NW-ZX100, NW-A20, NWZ-A860, NWZ-A10, and NWZ-S770 series
The Equaliser settings will be reflected in the headphones with these models. From the Home menu, follow these steps to turn on the Equaliser (Sound Effect Preset) feature:
Settings → Bluetooth Settings → Sound Effect Preset.
When connected to a smartphone or other Bluetooth device
Set the Equaliser using the Sony | Sound Connect app. This stores the Equaliser settings in the headphones. After completing this step, connect the headphones to your smartphone or another Bluetooth device.
You can now play music on the headphones with the Equaliser feature activated.
