How To: Update your Sony Google TV

If your TV is connected to the internet you will be prompted to update as soon as a new one is available. But if you've dismissed this notification and would still like to update then you can do this quickly and easily.

How To: Update your Sony Google TV

If your TV is connected to the internet you will be prompted to update as soon as a new one is available.

But if you've dismissed this notification and would still like to update then you can do this quickly and easily by navigating to: Settings,System,About,Software Update.

You can also update your TV via USB if your TV is not connected to this internet.

To do this, find your model number on the Sony support website and download the latest update. You will then be able to find this update file in your downloads folder.

First you'll need to unzip the file, by right clicking and selecting'extract'. You should then locate and open the extracted folder and copy the contained file onto a USB stick and then insert the USB into a slot on your TV. You will then be prompted to begin the update.
