How do I use my Xperia smartphone as an external monitor of a camera or a camcorder?
Which Sony cameras are compatible with the External monitor?

If you're running Android 11 or higher, you can connect a USB Video Class (UVC) compatible camera or camcorder to your Xperia via USB cable and launch the External monitor app.
If your camera or camcorder is not UVC compatible with UVC, but does have an HDMI output, you may be able to use a third-party HDMI-UVC converter*1.
No audio on the External monitor app
The External monitor app only supports image input. It does not support sound input.
