Soundbar audio is out of sync with the source device image when using an HDMI connection

IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Check Applicable Products and Categories for details.

If the Soundbar audio is out of sync with the image from your source device (Blu-ray Disc player, cable box/set-top box (STB), game console, or similar device), follow the instructions that correspond to your source device connection.

The source device is connected to the Soundbar via HDMI

If the Soundbar has a SYNC (A/V sync) function, adjust the setting and see if the issue improves. If model-specific information is required, refer to the operating instructions supplied with the Soundbar. Manuals are posted on our support website.

The source device is connected to the TV via HDMI, or the audio source is output from the TV (TV broadcast, Netflix, Prime Video, Apple TV, etc.)

    • If your TV has a function that delays the image, try adjusting that setting.
Hint: If your TV is a BRAVIA, change the A/V sync setting from Auto to Off or On. For details, refer to the TV's Operating Instructions or Help Guide.
    • If your Soundbar has an HDMI terminal, connect the source device directly to the Soundbar using an HDMI cable. For details on the connection method, refer to the Soundbar's Startup Guide or Help GuideManuals are posted on our support website.
Note: If you want to connect many devices to the Soundbar and the number of HDMI terminals is insufficient, connect the source device that delays the sound to the Soundbar via HDMI first. If no more HDMI terminals are available on the Soundbar, connect other devices to the HDMI terminals on the TV.
